Accessibility

How we build the shop so it can be used with a keyboard and a screen reader.

This page says how usable www.neyvella.com is today for people who browse with a keyboard only, with a screen reader, with speech input, with screen magnification, or with their own contrast and text size settings. It names the standard we measure against, lists the barriers we know about, and gives you a way to buy from us without using the site at all.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

We build the store against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and we are not there on every page yet. Where we fall short, the answer is a change in the code, not a plugin placed on top of it.

We hold ourselves to the standard that Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. 12182(a), sets for places of public accommodation: full and equal enjoyment of the goods and services we sell. We apply that standard to this store whether or not a court would hold that Title III reaches an online only seller, and nothing on this page is a concession on that question.

A statement on a page does not deliver that standard by itself, so this page also gives you an address that a person reads, deadlines we hold ourselves to, and a second way to place an order at the same price.

Conformance Status

Standard: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA.

Status: Neyvella is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that parts of the content do not fully meet the standard.

No independent audit has been carried out. What we know comes from our own checks and from what customers report, so this page carries no audit date. When an audit is done, the date, the method and the name of whoever performed it go in the section How and When We Assess the Site, on this page.

We do not run an accessibility overlay or widget, and we would not offer one as evidence of anything. An overlay changes the page inside the visitor’s browser and leaves the code underneath as it was. In January 2025 the Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint against accessiBe, a vendor of such a tool, and in April 2025 it approved the final order: $1,000,000, for claiming that its widget could make any website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and for third party reviews and articles that did not disclose the company’s connection to their authors.

You will not read here that the store is fully conformant, fully accessible, or ADA compliant. None of those would be true, and a claim we cannot support is worth less to you than an honest list of problems.

What This Statement Covers

The whole path from looking to receiving, not the home page alone:

  • search and the search results page
  • category listings, sorting and the price and attribute filters
  • the product page, including the photo gallery, the enlarged view, the size and color selection and the stock line
  • the cart, including quantity changes and removal of an item
  • checkout, including the address fields, the shipping cost line, the sales tax line, the total and the error messages
  • your account: order history, saved addresses, password reset
  • the wishlist
  • the legal pages, among them Privacy Policy, Terms of Sale and Returns and Refunds
  • the emails we send after an order: the order confirmation, the shipping confirmation with the tracking number, the invoice, the return instructions, and any document attached to them

It does not cover pages run by other companies, for example a carrier’s tracking page, or your own bank’s website when you pay by bank transfer. Those are outside our control, and we do not send you into them from checkout.

If a carrier’s page blocks you, write to us: we read the tracking ourselves and send you its status by email, in plain text, within one business day. Where the page belongs to your bank, we cannot act inside it; there, ask your bank for its own accessible channel, which it is required to have.

Known Accessibility Barriers

Here is what we know is wrong or unverified today. The list is not proof that everything else is correct, and it will get longer as we check more and as you report more.

  • Alternative text on product photos is uneven. The main photo of a product usually carries a useful description. Detail shots, back views and fabric close-ups often repeat that same description, so a screen reader tells you there is a second photo without telling you what changes in it. We are rewriting alternative text category by category, main photo first.
  • The enlarged photo view is not verified. Clicking a product photo opens it in a viewer that comes with the store software. We have not tested its keyboard focus handling or its close control against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. If it traps your keyboard, tell us, and we will describe any photo to you in writing while we fix it.
  • The country and state fields at checkout use a search dropdown that comes with the store software. The list filters as you type, and those filtered results are not reliably announced by a screen reader.
  • Size and color selection updates the page without reloading it. The price and the stock line change in place, and that change is not announced yet. Adding a live region, so the update is spoken, is on our list.
  • Order emails and attached documents are untested. They are built on the store software’s templates. We have not read them with a screen reader, and we have not checked attached documents for tagging, reading order or selectable text. An invoice that is only an image is a barrier, and we treat it as one.
  • Color contrast has not been measured in every state. We have checked body text and buttons at rest. The hover and focus states of some controls have not been measured against the 4.5 to 1 ratio WCAG 2.1 asks for text, nor against the 3 to 1 ratio it asks for controls, their borders and the focus indicator (1.4.11). Disabled controls fall outside both ratios, which is why they are not on this list. Name the page and the element and we measure it. Where it falls under 4.5 to 1 for text, or 3 to 1 for the outline of a control, we change the color and tell you when, within the deadline in Tell Us About a Barrier.
  • The skip link is not verified on every template. The theme includes a link that skips straight to the main content. We have not checked it on every page template, so we do not claim it works everywhere. Tell us a page where it does not and we fix that template.
  • Parts of the site need JavaScript. The menu, the enlarged photo view, the size and color selection and parts of checkout will not work without it.

Every one of these falls under the 30 days rule below the moment you report that it is blocking you. Reporting something that already appears on this list is worth doing: it tells us which item to fix first.

If You Cannot Use the Site, We Will Take Your Order

Write to contact@neyvella.com, or send the same request by mail to 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, and tell us what you want to buy. A description in your own words is enough: the product name, or the page you were on, or what you need it for. We answer on the next business day at the latest, the same deadline as every other message on Contact, and we place the order together with you. For a letter, that deadline runs from the day it reaches us.

You can also place this order by phone, on the number and during the hours published on Contact, at the same price and on the same terms. We ask for email or mail first only because it leaves both of us a written record and because it reaches the person named under Who Is Responsible directly.

The terms are identical to the ones on the site:

  • the price and the discounts in force on the day your message reaches us, even if a promotion ends before we finish placing the order together, and no fee for ordering this way
  • the same shipping cost and the same free shipping threshold, on the terms set out on Shipping and Delivery
  • the same 30 day return window, which is our store policy and not a federal legal right, on the terms set out on Returns and Refunds
  • the same 24 month limited warranty, which we give voluntarily and which adds to the implied warranties your state law gives you, on the terms set out on Limited Warranty

When we answer, we also tell you whether the item is still in stock, and we hold it for you until you confirm or for two business days, whichever ends first.

Because you are not going through checkout, the written confirmation we send you carries the same three documents you would have accepted there, in full text and as links: Terms of Sale, Returns and Refunds and the Limited Warranty. Your written answer accepting the order is what replaces the checkout box, and we keep it with the order.

Before anything ships, we send you the whole order in writing to confirm: each item with its size, the price of each, the shipping cost, the sales tax and the total. Nothing is charged until you answer.

Payment works exactly as it does on the site, with the methods described on Prices and Payment. We never ask you for a password, for bank login details, or for the numbers on any payment instrument, by email; a message that asks you for anything else is not from us. We also do not ask you to prove a disability in order to place an order.

Tell Us About a Barrier

Write to contact@neyvella.com, or by mail to 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. That address is read by the person named under Who Is Responsible, below, so a report does not get absorbed into general customer service.

What helps us reproduce the problem:

  • the address of the page, or a description of where you were
  • what you were trying to do
  • what happened instead
  • your browser, your operating system and the assistive technology you use, with versions if you know them

If you do not have all of that, send what you have. A partial report is useful; a report you never send because it felt incomplete helps nobody.

What we do with it:

  • we confirm receipt within 3 business days, written by a person, not by an autoresponder
  • within 30 days of your report we either fix the problem or send you a written plan with a date
  • if the fix depends on software we do not write ourselves, we say so, we tell you what we asked the supplier for, and we give you a way around it in the meantime
  • we check whether the same fault appears elsewhere: a control that fails on one product page fails on all of them

While a report is open you can still order through the route described above, and you can ask us for the text of any page you name. We send it by email as plain text or as a document set in large type, within 3 business days of your request.

How and When We Assess the Site

We review the site at least once every 12 months, and again after any change to the theme or to the checkout flow. A change to how you pay, how you enter an address or how you choose a size triggers a review even if it lands a week after the last one.

A review covers the whole purchase path listed under What This Statement Covers, using the keyboard alone, at 200 percent text size and at 400 percent zoom in a 1280 pixel wide window, with a screen reader, and with automated checks. On checkout we take these one at a time: information and relationships (1.3.1), contrast (1.4.3), reflow (1.4.10), keyboard operation (2.1.1), timing (2.2.1), visible focus (2.4.7), error identification (3.3.1), labels and instructions (3.3.2), error suggestion (3.3.3) and error prevention (3.3.4).

Automated checks catch a minority of the problems, which is why a report from you counts for more here than a clean scan.

This page changes when the review changes what is true: a barrier removed comes off the list, a barrier found goes on it. The date of the last change is at the bottom of the page.

Technical Specifications

Accessibility of this site depends on these technologies working in your browser: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA. Where one of them is unavailable, parts of the site stop working, as described under Known Accessibility Barriers.

We have not finished a test matrix of browser and assistive technology combinations, so we do not publish one. When we do, the combinations and the date go in this section. What we can tell you today:

  • we do not detect assistive technology and we do not change the page for a visitor we guess has a disability
  • we do not serve a separate text only version of the store, because a second version drifts out of date and ends up carrying less than the first
  • the theme’s own animations follow the reduced motion setting of your operating system. We have not verified this for the enlarged photo view or for any control that came with the store software
  • the theme includes a link that skips straight to the main content, and we have not checked it on every page template, which is why it also appears under Known Accessibility Barriers

We do not list individual WCAG success criteria as met. Each such claim needs testing we have not finished, and an untested claim is worth nothing to you. When we finish testing a criterion on a template, the criterion, the template and the date of the test go in this section.

Who Is Responsible

Accessibility of www.neyvella.com is owned by The customer support team at Neyvella LLC. That is the person who reads contact@neyvella.com, answers within the deadlines on this page, and decides the order in which barriers get fixed.

Written mail reaches the same person at 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Questions about an existing order go to Contact, which is the same store on a different schedule.

Formal Complaints

If our answer does not settle the matter, you have routes that do not depend on us:

  • Write to us first, at contact@neyvella.com, and keep our reply. It costs you nothing and it creates a record of what you asked and what we answered.
  • The United States Department of Justice, which enforces Title III of the ADA. You can file a complaint online at civilrights.justice.gov, at no cost. The ADA Information Line, 800-514-0301 (voice) or 1-833-610-1264 (TTY), open Monday to Friday, answers questions about your rights and about the complaint process.
  • The agency in your state that takes disability discrimination complaints. In some states that is the attorney general’s consumer protection division; in others it is a civil or human rights agency, among them the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York City Commission on Human Rights and the California Civil Rights Department. Filing costs nothing.
  • A court. The ADA lets a private plaintiff ask a court to order a barrier removed, and to award attorney fees. Some state laws add money damages, among them the California Unruh Civil Rights Act, the New York State Human Rights Law and the New York City Human Rights Law.

Using one of these does not close the others, and it does not stop our work: we keep fixing what you reported while it is being reviewed somewhere else.

Time limits run whether or not we are still working on your report. A claim under the ADA borrows the limitation period of the state where it is filed, commonly two to three years from the day you met the barrier, and state law claims have their own periods. If a deadline of yours is close, do not wait on us.

This page reports what we have found in our own testing and what we have committed to do about it. It is not an admission that any law has been broken and it does not waive any defense available to us. Nothing on this page limits a right you have under federal or state law.
